This is a survey presenting the main preventive and control methods for various pest species of field crops, describing at large the plant genetic resistance. Among the cropping preventive and control measures for some pests, the following technological elements are presented: crop rotation, seed, soil, tillage, seed time, use of fertilizers, weed control, irrigation and harvest. Like wise, the main genetic control methods are shown.
