A chromosome count of n=36 is recorded for Aglaomorpha drynarioides from Peninsular Malaysia. This first chromosome count for the genus from Peninsular Malaysia confirmed the uniformity of the genus based on x=36. So far all the cytologically known species of the drynarioid ferns worldwide are diploids.
