Methods of propagation of strawberries var. Tioga were studied at Suan Sanku, Doi Pui Research station and Suan Potharam, Amphur Muang, Chiang Mai Province. The result showed that the deflowered mother plants planted in Oct 1980 gave the highest number of daughter plants (runner plants), up to 158 when compared with those that were planted during the following months. Covering the roots of daughter plants with moist newspaper could increase root development but decreased survival percentage after transplanting. Foliar sprayed fertilzer '4-16-24' in different times before transplanting had no effect to flowering and fruit yield of daughter plants.
