Statice cultivars 'Kampf's Blue Improved', 'Iceberg', 'Modra', 'Purple Monarch' and 'Rosea Superba' were single sprayed with gibberellic acid at the concentrations of 0, 250, 500, 750 and 1,500 ppm 92 days after seed sowing. The experiments on the effects of gibberellic acid on the production of statice were conducted at the Department of Horticulture, Kasetsart University, Bangkhen, Bangkok and at Suntakarm farm, Parkchong, Nakhonratchasima. The results showed that the effects of gibberellic acid varied on the cultivars. One hundred percent flowerings were found in the statice cultivar 'Iceberg' treated with 500 ppm gibberellic acid, and the flowering time was 25 days earlier at Bangkhen and 36 days at Parkchong than the untreated plants. Moreover, 'Iceberg' had 34.5 number of inflorescences while untreated plants had only 11.8. The cultivars 'Rose Superba', 'Purple Monarch' and 'Modra' responded slightly to gibberellic acid on the percentage of plant flowering, days to flower and number of inflorescences, but did not respond to the weight and yields. The cultivar 'Kampf's Blue Improved' was not affected by gibberellic acid.
