Study on effects of spacing and rates of fertilizer on growth of 3 species of Eucalytus on the mine spoil land was carried out at Takuapa, Phang Nga Province in June 1981. Split-split plot design in RBD was imposed. Main-plot was spacing (2 x 2, 3 x 3 and 4 x 4 mxm). Sub-plot was fertilizer rates (0, 1 and 2 kg/ 2 kg/tr/ 3 yrs). And sub-sub-plot was species of Eucalyptus (E.camaldulensis, E.deglupta and E.tereticornis). This experiment had three replications and 12 x 12 m. of each sample unit. The growth data was collected in July 1983 (twenty-five months old) by measuring DBH and total height for the estimation of the stem, branch, leaf and total aboveground biomass. Species of Eucalyptus, rates of fertilizer and spacing significantly affected the biomass of tree. The largest biomass production was E. camaldulensis (3,285.80 kg/ha), 2 kg/tr/3 yrs rate of fertilizer (3,887.38 kg/ha) and 2 x 2m. of spacing (4,259.68 kg/ha). Rates of fertilizer had influenced biomass production of each species of Eucalyptus. The higher rate of fertilizer application, the more biomass production was gained. Besides, each species of Eucalytus growing with narrow spacing (2 x 2 m.) would produce more biomass than growing with wider one. (3 x 3 and 4 x 4 m.) The interaction between spacing and fertilizer rates affected the biomass production of 3 species of Eucalyptus. Suggesting that in all planting spaces, fertilizer application would produce more biomass than the treatments without fertilizer. The combination effects of species, spacing and rates of fertilizer application on the biomass production could not be clearly indicated but the tendency of gaining largest biomass was shown in the closest spacing (2 x 2m.) with 2 kg/tr/3 yrs of fertilizer especially the E.camaldulensis (12,448.66 kg/ha.).
