In this study, inheritance of primary spike length and kernel number of primary spike of wheat hybrids and combining ability of five domestic winter wheat cultivars were investigated. In the most number of cases, inheritance of spike length was dominance of better parent (BP). Highly significant differences are established for combining ability components of variance. The greatest part had GCA variance, which shows importance of additive gene effect in inheritance of primary spike length. Overdominance of better parent are established for inheritance of kernel number of primary spike in F1 generation in the most number of cases. Analysis of combining ability variance for kernel number of primary spike established highly significant differences of variability due to GCA and SCA. Values for GCA were meaningly higher. It shows important role of genes with additive effect in inheritance of kernel number of primary spike.
