Increased energy needs in the higly productive dairy cows, conditional on the formulation of a meal with a high percentage of concentrates and lower share of bulky feed. The physical properties of a meal for lactating cows caused by the attitude and concentrated bulky meals, type of roughage and concentrates and an averege particle size of nutrients (Stojanovic et al. 2002, Grubic et al. 2000). The higher content of urea in the blood is often an indicator of excessive amount of protein in forage rations cows to indicates that it should be to reduce the amount of protein or that there is insufficient energy in the diet. In this work we discuss how that relationship affects the change of biochemical parameters in blood glucose concentration, the concentration of beta-hydroxy-butyric acid (BHBA), the concentration of bilirubin, total protein and urea. Change these biochemical blood parameters monitored during the period of highly pregnancy, the period after calving and in the three periods given 180 days of lactation.
