The structure, situation and needs for combine harvesters in amount of 750 units per year were presented in the paper. The analysis of forces and method for calculation needed force and power for prevailing motion resistance and determining the normal reaction below combine wheels were presented too. Combine harvester are used for harvesting different crops with certain rearrangement and specific adjustment: wheat, rye, barley, oats, maize, soya bean, sunflower, bean and herbage. Those crops cover 2 274 000 ha or 53.86% of all seeded tillable land (SGS 2009). Scheme of combine harvester with table for wheat was presented in figure 1. The motion theory of towed, driving and braked wheel was shown in the figure 2. Afterwards the analysis of forces during motion was carried out, figure 3, and equations for determining: tractive force in contact wheel-soil ( Fp ) by equation (10), determinig the normal reaction on front (Yp ) and rear (Yz ) wheels by equations (13) and (15) as well as all resistance by equations (20) and (21) for determining needed power to overcome motion reistances ( Pfu ).
