In conclusion: After comparison of diagnostic methods for leptospirosis - isolation and PCR, disadvantages of isolation method can be seen as: long lasting and complex procedure of isolation process, unlike the PCR method which is faster and less complex to perform and more sensitive method. Based on the obtained results it can be concluded that the application of PCR method will fully justify the usage of this method in diagnostics of leptospirosis, and therefore provide detection of infected animals in time and the application of control program.
