Lead, although it constitute a part of inanimate nature and in small quantities is also found in living matter, even at relatively low concentrations, adversely affects the activity of cells, organs, and thus the function of the whole organism. The aim of in vitro study was to determine the effect of lead chloride (PbCk) on motility and progressive motility of rabbit spermatozoa and on path and velocity spermatozoa parameters in relation to the lead concentration, incubation time and environmental temperature. Also the incidence of pathological forms of spermatozoa after experimental incubation was evaluated. For the evaluation of spermatozoa motility CAS A (computer assisted semen analysis) system was used and pathological changes of the spermatozoa were detected by morphological analysis. Semen samples were obtained from 20 adult rabbits. The lead concentration in the medium ranged from 0.45 to 11.17 micro g per mL, incubation time was 240 minutes (analysis immediately after addition of lead, 30, 60, 120, 180 and 240 minutes of incubation) and temperature the environment - laboratory (22 deg C), fridge (4 deg C) and the thermostat temperature (37 deg C). Achievements were compared with a control group without lead addition...
