A research on temporal and spatial patterns in littoral sediment of Mogan Lake, and its potential release into lake | Mogan Gölü litoral sedimentte fosforun mevsimsel ve yersel değişimi ile göle salınım potansiyelinin araştırılması

This study was conducted to find out the seasonal and spatial patterns of the phosphorus in the littoral sediment and its potential release into the Mogan Lake between July 2004 and June 2005. Total phosphorus and phosphorus fractions in the sediment and overlying water samples mainly taken from three determined stations from the lake and additionally some chemical and physical measurements were done. The amount of the released phosphorus was estimated by using total filterable orthophosphate concentrations related to sediment pore water and overlying water with the water content of the sediment,and the diffusion coefficient depending on the temperature. Furthermore, the effect of the oxygen over the phosphorus release was determined under the laboratory conditions where the temperature was stable.

Bu araştırma Mogan Gölü litoral sedimentte fosforun mevsimsel ve yersel değişimi ile göle salınım potansiyelinin araştırılması amacıyla Temmuz 2004-Haziran 2005 tarihleri arasında yürütülmüştür. Gölde belirlenen üç istasyondan alınan sediment ve sediment üstü su örneklerinde toplam fosfor ve fosfor fraksiyonları başta olmak üzere bazı fiziksel ve kimyasal ölçümler yapılmıştır. Sedimentten fosfor salınımı sediment gözenek suları ve sediment üstü göl sularına ilişkin toplam filtre edilebilir ortofosfat konsantrasyonları ile sedimentin su içeriği ve sıcaklığa bağlı difüzyon katsayısı kullanılarak tahmin edilmiştir. Ayrıca sedimentten fosfor salınımına oksijenin etkisi sıcaklığın sabit olduğu laboratuvar koşullarında belirlenmiştir.
