Louisiana rice production: rice plant nutrition and cultural management

This document explains it is estimated that Louisiana produced rice on 265,000 hectares. About 75 percent of this production occurred in the southwest Louisiana area and most of the remainder in the Northeast. A small percentage of rice was produced in the central area. The predominant rice producing area is located in southwest Louisiana, where almost 50 percent of the total hectarage is located. (MV)
