In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there were presented the results of studies on the accumulation of heavy metals by the genus Phalaenopsis Blume hybrids (Baatan variety) cultivated in the Central Botanical Garden of Belarus. There were analysed 2 groups of plants: one was presented by orchids with healthy leaves and roots; and plants of the second group was infected by fungal infections Colletotrichum orchidearum and Fusarium oxysporum. The maximum amount of nickel, cobalt, cadmium and chromium are concentrated in the upper parts of plants - flowers, stalks, stems and leaves. Cadmium accumulates in the bottom of the plants, mainly in roots and leaves. Proportion of nickel and cobalt in the flowers of the studied samples can be attributed the genus Phalaenopsis Blume to hubs of these elements.
