In the conditions of farms of the Republic of Belarus there were presented the results of breeding work with the Belarusian large white breed of pigs. There was realized an assessment of reproductive characteristics of sows of Belarusian large white breed during the period of research, depending of the linear belonging in the generations in terms of productivity daughters. The positive dynamics of growth of high reproductive traits of animals was determined. Thus, for the period of 1980-2010 multiple pregnancy has increased from 10,6 to 11,9 piglets, or by 12,3%. For six generations milkiness increased by 1,4%, the number of piglets at weaning – by 2,3%, the litter weight at weaning – by 4,3%. As a result of object-orientated breeding in 2011 there were creaed breeding herds of sows with productivity: multiple fetation - 12.1 piglets, milkiness - 57.4 kg; litter weight at weaning period of 60 days - 173.2 kg; in 35 days - 97.2 kg. During the period from 1980 to 2010 the multiple fetation sows in breeding herds increased from 10.6 to 11.9 piglets, or 12.3%. For six generations (F5-F11) there was marked a positive change of reproductive qualities: multiple pregnancy has increased by 0.23 piglets, or 2.1%, milkiness - 0.75 kg, or 1.4%, the number of piglets at weaning - on 0.23 heads, or 2.3%, litter weight at weaning date - on 7.01, or 4.3%. The highest index of reproductive qualities was marked at daughters of lines Swat 17385 and Monefa 25985 (higher on 2.7 and 8.7% of the average for the breed).
