In course of the research there was studied the method of preparation of stem mass, which accelerates the process mass of sealing and provides rapid reduction of air content in the mass. The research was realized in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus. As a result of the research it was obtained the initiation of lactic acid fermentation. It was found out that at preparation of stem mass it was necessary to accelerate process of mass consolidation and to provide decrease during a short time interval after hermetic sealing of storehouse of air content in mass at the expense of consolidation at which initiation of lactic fermentation was obtained. It was also described the design of device, which increases process reliability of method. Use of the offered device would allow at the expense of reduction of terms of mass consolidation after storehouse hermetic sealing to provide initiation of process of lactic fermentation and to lower on 25-30% of loss of nutrients in the course of forage fermentation in comparison with applied technologies of siloing in horizontal storehouses.
