Flood spreading system was put into action in the lateral of the Sefid-Rood river area in the outlet of Maiham area and the eastern side of the Village of Hoseinabad in eastern Qorveh. After executing mechanical operations and food spreding system using the method of ridges i and Four rows in 1377; 2 instances of flood in 1377, 3 in 1378, 3in 1379 and 3 in 1380 came under control. Sediment in five years has reached 4cm in depth. Due to the research method, after annual flood - control in the middle of border strips of flood spreading and at the i distance of 20m from the fills some soil samples were taken from the depths of c_15, 15-30 and 30-45. Adjacent to the system of spreading a block on which no flood - spreading was executed was taken as the control. 1 1 After taking the soil samples to the lab a thorough soil examination and flood qualitative analysis were performed. The Variance analysis table shows the effect of flood - spreading on soil fertility on the basis of statistical design of split plots in which Flood - spreading is the main factor. The experiment was done for tive years and then the data were analysed. The results of soil analysis show that saturation percentage was increasing, the electronic conductivity. Was decreasing P.H content was in creasing and T.N.V percentoge was decreasing, but a lcali carbon content was some what fixed and consistent. Relative percentage of clay on the surface increased but relative. Percentage of Silt had an increased rate. In low depths, relative percentage of clay and sand decreased but the relative percentage of silt in creased. The soil structure on the surface was composed of angula, cubic coarse grams but in the depth, it was composed of small grains with a diameter of l-20cm. Intilteration rate in the spreading area, 1.92 a minute, reached the decreasingeate of 1.02 millimeter per minute. The unit weight changed from 1.6 to 1.65gr/cm3. The qualitative analysis of flood samples. showed the following: T.S.S content was between 0.18 and 0.53gr a liter, pH between 7.25 and 8.3, EC betwenn 0.28 and 0.57 millimos/cm and T.D.S between 0.21 and 0.23 a liter. Hence, controlling run off floods does decrease the amount of property damage caused by flood, feeds the undergound water, and improves the farming soil and the Physical properties of soil. 1 Key words: Flood spreading - Physical characteristics of soil - Mayham aquifer _ The province of 1 Kurdistan.
