Study on chemical characteristics in date palm derived tissue culture(cv. Barhee) for distinguish of fruit set reducing

Lack of fruit set seedling date palm derived tissue culture has become one of the most serious problems of date growers today. It means that in the beginning of flowering and reproductive stage, fruit set is not as well as Barhee date palm derived offshoot. Whereas, many seedling date palm derived tissue culture planted in the different area and high cost is spending for those, on the other hand, date growers expectations has not meet. Thus, It was visited and sampled from the soil, leave and spathe in the date palm orchard in the different area. Ec, pH, O.C, available P and K in the soil, concentration N, P, K, Zn and B in the leave and spathe were analyzed and then fruit set in each date palm were determined. Result showed that there were adverse correlation between fruit set and O.C, available P and K in the soil, N, P and K in the leave and positive correlation between Zn and B in the leave.
