The influence of different levels of corn and barley grains on milk production and composition was evaluated. Fifteen multiparous lactating Holestein cows (26± 11 d in milk; mean ± SD) were used in a random completely design.Ttreatments were 3 different levels of barley and corn grains (A: 24% barley grain + 8% corn grain;B:16%barley grain + 16% corn grain and C:8% barley grain +24% corn grain). In experimental periods, milk yield and composition (milk fat, protein and Iactos) and Reproductive were recorded weekly, and dry matter intake was measured daily.Dry matter intake tended to be higher for high level of corn. milk yield,Fat Corrected milk (FCM 4%)were not affected by treatment (P0.05). There were no differences in milk fat and protein concentrations beteween the treatments.Plasma urea Nitrogen (PUN) and Gelucose concentration were not affected by treatments, but PlasmaâHB concentration had significant differences between groups A and B (p0.05). Open Days in group B and C was lower than group A (p0.05).These results demonsetrate that substituting of barley grain with corn grain may have important effect on reproductive parameters of the early lactation cow.
