These online guidelines present a series of webpages and PDF documents which provide technical guidance and information covering various areas of pesticide management. They aim to supplement the International Code of Conduct on the Distribution and Use of Pesticides and assist countries in implementing its various provisions. Key areas of the guide include: <br /><br /> monitoring and observance of the Code of Conduct include differentiating among entities, using a combined information base, and regular monitoring and reporting <br /><br /> efficacy evaluation for the registration of plant protection products cover good experimental practice, applying minimum effective dose, record keeping and reporting of individual trials, and principles for assessing acceptability of efficacy <br /><br /> monitoring and observance of the Code of Conduct cover information gathering, procedures for reporting and follow-up, and the role of FAO in monitoring <br /><br /> compliance and enforcement of a pesticide regulatory programme focus on the core principles of compliance and enforcement, and designing and building the compliance and enforcement programme <br /> management options for empty pesticide containers cover mechanisms for developing a container management scheme, farmers and other uses of pesticides, and recycling and disposal. <br />
