In 2002 - 3, five seed density of sunflower (variety Azargol) insisted of 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14 plant per m2 were compared in a randomize complete blocks design with 4replication in Qom region. At harvesting, some phonologic stages (i.e. staring, pre-flowering, flowering and maturing date) were recorded. At maturing stage, plant height head diameter, straw diameter, seed number of head, 1000 _ seed weight, straw weight and harvest index were determined. The averages, which had significant differences, were arranged in groups by Duncan method. In 2002, it has observed that the plant height of 8, 6 and 10 seed density per m2 had significant preference in respect to another treatments. Six plants per m2 was the best treatment in head diameter. Also this treatment (6 per m2) obtained the highest 1000 _ seed weight with 46.2 gr, which had preference to another. The 14 plant per m2 prepared the highest dry mater (P0.05). Seed yield of 14, 12 and 10 plants per m2 had significant preference with 2235, 2123 and 2015 kg.ha-1, respectively, whereas 8, 10 and 6 plant per m2 obtained the highest harvest index in comparison with another densities with 39.5, 37.7 and 37.6 percent respectively. Straw diameter and number of head seed had no significant differences in all of treatments. In 2003, it has observed that the plant height of 8, 10 and 6 plant per m2 had significant preference to another treatments. Head diameter of 6, 8 and 10 densities had significant preference to another treatments. There was no significant difference in straw diameter in all treatments. Whereas 1000 _ seed weight of 6 plant per m2 obtained the highest with 44.28 gr. Seed number of head was the highest in 6 plant per m2 density. The dry matter of 14 plant per m2 had significant difference in comparison with another treatments. Seed yield of 14 and 10 density produced the highest with 1915 and 1850 kg.ha-1 respectively, also 10 plant per m2 obtained 40.58% harvest index which had significant preference. Biennial seed yield means of observation, showed that 12 and 14 plant per m2 had significant preference to another treatments with 1962 and 2075 kg.ha-1 respectively. Oil seed content of treatments had no significant difference, but the effect of year was significant.
