The unfavorable factors that cause stress, deviations in technology, some bacterial and viral agents and mycotoxins, all may lead to damage and atrophy of immune tissues and consequent immunosupression. The immune response to vaccines against the Newcastle disease (NCD), Infectious bronchitis (IB) and Gumboro disease (GD) may be unsatisfactory if immunosupression occurs. In this research, the use of immunostimulator Kvimulit was investigated in relation to production parameters and immune system in chickens that were vaccinated against NCD and IB. Immunostimulative potential of the product was determined based on evaluation of the protection of bursa Fabricius from atrophy causing noxae. The results indicate that Kvimulid has high immunostimulating potential and also direct correlation was found between bursal protection – bursal index and postvaccinal titre against NCD and IB.
