The flea beetles of Phyllotreta genus (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) are the important pests of oilseed rape in autumn, in the stage of plants germination. In autumn 2010 and 2011 we studied the presence of flea beetles in the oilseed rape on 4 plots of ground on Kaplná site. The control of flea beetles was performed in autumn season, from the process of germination to the creation of two true leaves (BBCH 13-21) when the flea beetles are the most harmful. We investigated the occurrence of aphids by sweeping an area of 1 square metre. We swept in autumn on the 1st of September 2010 and on the 19th of September 2011. In both observed years, the occurrence of flea beetles of Phyllotreta genus exceeded the level of harm-fulness and it was necessary to perform an insecticidal treatment. In year 2010 which was excessively wet the flea beetles were located only on the edges of the plots which were subsequently treated. In dry year 2011 even though the number of flea beetles imagoes caught by sweeping on the edge of the fields was lower, they could be found throughout the entire area of oilseed rape which had to be treated. The Phyllotreta nemorum and Phyllotreta undu-lata predominated in 2010 and the species of Phyllotreta atra and Phyllotreta nigripens predominated in 2011. We did not find the occurrence of flea beetles two days after Mospila 20SP application. In 2011 two days after insecticide application of Nurelle D we found the occurrence of Phyllotreta nemorum and Phyllotreta undulata on the edge of plots with a frequency of 1 flea beetle on 10 square m which was probably caused by migration of imagoes.
