In 2009 - 2010 field experiment in Plant Production Research Center Piešťany - Research Station in Borovce was established. The aim of study was to compare and evaluate the impact of four basic methods of tillage (conventional, minimization, mulch - till, no - till) on maize grain yield, energy and bioethanol production. In volatile climate of growing years 2009-2010 maize responded differently to chosen soil tillage technologies by grain yield, energy and bioethanol production, hi 2009 in minimization technology was reached the highest grain yield (12.49 t per ha), energy production (220.40 GJ per ha) and ethanol (4821.14 l per ha). In 2010 the highest grain yield (9.18 t per ha), energy production (161.99 GJ per ha) and ethanol (3543.48 l per ha) was reached in conventional technology.
