In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there was realized a comparative analyses of growing methods of onion bulbs bulb onion (Allium сера) using seeds and onion sets and different doses of complex mineral fertilizes. Estimation of growth and development of onion plants, yield and keeping capacity of bulbs depending on mineral nutrition level and growing methods of onion was given. As a result of the realized studies there was marked positive influence of application of complex mineral fertilizers on bulb onion of Dyament variety (early-ripening; pungent) growing in annual crop. It was established, that the highest yielding capacity of onions (43.9 ton/hectare) has been received in the conditions of bulb-onion growing from onion sets and a doze of mineral fertilizers N90P83K131. Yielding capacity of onions at the mentioned fertilizing level in case of cultivation of onions from seeds has made 29.4 ton/hectare. In course of the study there were presented data of storage life of the experimental plants.
