Economic study of milk production and processing in Egypt.

The problem of providing food for man is one of the important problems in the world, which leads to increased attention to the types of good food, particularly dairy products. It was found that the average per capita milk and milk products in the Arab Republic of Egypt declines from year to year, and that the rate of development in the dairy sector is not commensurate with the increased demand, which leads to humility continuous food gap existing between production and consumption, so a lot of economic studies of milk should be performed in an attempt to reduce this gap and reach self-sufficiency. This study aims for the development of local production of milk and milk products by raising the production efficiency of milk and its products. The study have adopted a search on the statistical secondary data published and unpublished by different sources as well as on primary data collected by questionnaire in order to achieve the desired objectives of the study, methods were also used including descriptive and quantitative analysis, which serve the purposes of research. This study includes four sections in addition to the summary in Arabic and English, as well as recommendations and references. The first section has included two chapters, addressing first the review of reference, and the second theoretical framework. The second section has included the overall energy productivity of milk in Egypt . The third section was interested in studying consumption of milk and factors affecting it and shed light on some of the marketing functions that take place on dairy products, and has included two chapters, the first chapter dealt with consumption of dairy products, while the second chapter services and marketing functions for dairy products in Egypt. The fourth section is interested in the economic analysis of dairy production in Egypt (Field study ),this section has included two chapters, the first chapter dealt with descriptive analysis of the milk production and its costs for the study sample, while the second chapter interested in quantitative analysis of the milk production and its costs for the study sample.
