Zonation of floods dangers in urban regions using WMS software and hydrulics model of HEC-RAS

Iran is dominated by arid and semi-arid climate with sporadic rainfall which creates seasonal floods and cause considerable damages and occasionally loss of life. Considering evaluation of flood Zoning and river floodway is the basis of flood management programs in river engineering science. Therefore fundamental study of this research is estimating the flood of watershed upstream of river named GALAZ in Oshnavieh city and by using WMS 7.1 Software that can support HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS, we could create the flood extent, flood depth and flood hazard maps of this river.
