Water Management in Surface irrigation System

Tliis study was Conducted in Kudasht Agricultural research stat-ion in east of Isfahan on silty clay soil . Three different irrigati-on stream sizes in : i) End blocked border strip and ii) graded furrow in 100 meters in length , and iii) basin plots ( 10mx 25m)were applied on bare soil when 66% of available water content were deplited in 100cm of soil depth (following a heavy irrigation) by evaporation and drainage pr-ocess . Advance,recession and intake opportunity time were recorded in 10 meters length interval in borders and 5 meters length interval in basins to evaluate the irrigation efficiancy. the highest water application uniformity were obtained by us~ 7 3 ing 0.00216 111 /s for border and 0.0015 m /s furrow with cutback me- thod in furrow and 0.00246 in /s in basin.
