The social factors affecting in the Agria potato yeild in damavand , Tehran Provience

The present study was undertaken to ananlyze the social Factors affecting the yield of Agria variety potato in Tehran province, Damavand area. For this purpose ,68 of farmers from rural area in Damavand city were selected by simple random sampling, and were interviewed with completed questioners, after collecting data Spss and Excel programs with descriptive statistic by pearson correlation cofficient and X2 tests were used to determain the relations between yield with other variables. The results show scio- economic factors such as typs of ownership of farms and size of land, the other production factors, Age, experience, level of education, the conection with center of extention services, and usage the extent ion recommendations are the main factors influencing to incriesing yield. Therefore the role-played by extension services centers and education should be reemphasised, and proper policy on providing land ownership should be considered.
