The Plan Strategies of Cotton and Fiber Crops in Islamic Republic of Iran

The especially strategies of fourth plan development of cotton and fiber crops is to make effort toward clearing strategies in long term frame of Islamic Republic of Iran in horizon 1404 year which has been officially ordered to government by honer leader. This promissory note contains economical, social, cultural, and educational of Iranian Islamic society in beginning of sixteen century of solar system. The mentioned promissory note will prosperous the Islamic Republic of Iran in advanced science, capable in production of science and technology, relying on human resources and social capital in national begetting. Base on the view of this promissory note the duty and responsibility of food security has been given to agricultural sector. The cotton and fiber crops of research, education and extension organization has double responsibility, first to support and provide the research and education structure to achieve the mentioned goal and second struggle to reach in better economical and technological situation in the region. The plan of cotton and fiber crops subject for achieving the above responsibility has been compiled and approved by ministry of agriculture. The plan and program of cotton and fiber crops are as follow: 1- Introduction of new supper commercial varieties which are ready to be register and release be cooperation of cotton and oil organization and seed registration institute. 2- Introduction of hybrid varieties, two are ready for release. 3- Introduction of early varieties 4- Introduction of glandless varieties in order to use for animals, fish and birds. 5- The use of plant growth regulators and defoliant on growth and pest population. 6- the necessity of marketing, economical and social research on cotton production. 7- The value of cotton seed in feeding has been already under seed multiplying. 8- The necessity of reaching to transgenic varieties resistance to boll worm ( BT cotton). 9- Creation of resistance to biotic stresses. 10- Development of resistance to abiotic inviromental stresses. 11- To improve the quality of fibers. 12- To improve genetic of varieties and preparation of basic seed of comircial cultivars. 13- To improve seed cotton and delinting of cotton seed. 14- Recognition of new regions for cotton production. 15- The necessity production of biofertilizers , antagonistes fungi and useful insects. 16- The use of Phormons, plant materials and insecticides in pest management. 17- The necessity of studying the damage adjustment, bioecology, and epidemiology and knowledge of pest and diseases in advance in order to prepare a direction in form of IPM, ICM and IFM in the region. 18- Water management in cotton. 19- Cotton nutrition. 20- The principal of agronomy. 21- Weed control. 22- Creation of different genetic varieties and production of new genetic materials. 23- Cotton boll worm. 24- Cotton Aphids. 25- Cotton Thrips. 26- Cotton white fly. 27- Cotton 28- Cotton green 29- cotton mits 30- The management of seed and seedling damping-off. 31- The management of verticillum wilt. 32- Cotton bacterial blight . 33- Cotton boll rot disease. 34- Cotton mechanization. 35- Other fiber crops. 36- Production of long staple cotton. 37- Others necessity plans such as cotton transplanting.
