Study and Measuring the Comparative Advantage of Agricultural Production In Razavi Khorasan Province

Increasing products due to modern technology and more than internal demand has caused booming in international trade and has effected on relationship among countries & nations. Each country has product with advantage by own and can produce with lowers cost. So they could become more success in trade and increase competitiveness in international markets. Because of that, some regional and international agreements like World Trade Organization (WTO) has formed over last decade and as clear, each country which have more comparative advantage In specific commodity is more success in its export and trade. Hereby, exiting of comparative advantage would be very important in coming(future) international relationship and should consider it as important factors in crop pattern. In this research has studied measuring of comparative advantage in significant crop products in khorassan- razavee province. Two methods of Social Cost Benefit (SCB) and Domestic Resource Cost (DRC) have applied to measuring of comparative advantage. The results shows, all crop products have comparative advantage exception onion over period 2006/07. Among them tomato and watermelon have gotten highest scores and lowest score has belong to pea product. About wheat and barley products should emphasize, they have comparative with current price and same quantity of products have comparative advantage. Township ranking scores has showed some have more significant in some specific products. The last result shows that for all products with different exchange rate, the effective rate of protection (ERP) has been negative.
