The therapeutic use of specific antibodies is very important in certain clinical conditions . such as administration of specific antivenom for snakebite or administration of specific antitoxin for dephtheria or tetanus cases or antiviral cases . Until now, the specific antibodies prepared by injection of antigens to the horses or sheeps repeately with small doses of venom has made such antivenoms. Standard immunization procedures for horses are prolonged and complex .We have overcome the difficulty of such elaborate immunization schedules using hens since antibodies could be detected in the egg yolk within 12 days and specific antibodies can be isolated from the yolks. In the present study the vipera lebita venom detoxified by 60 co irradiation , and 600 g of detoxified venom injected to par hen and , eggs were collected after 12 days. Eggs yolk separated and lipid removed from egg yolk. The pure immunoglobolin isolated and purified by simple method. The antigen binding was shown by ouchterlongs double diffusion. our results showed the purified immunoglobolin (Igy) has potency to cover 30*LD50 par mouse. The purity of IgY proved by electrophoresis.
