Study on effect of Break-ThruضS240 as a adjuvantcompound in the efficacy of insecticides on mellon aphid.

Mellon Aphid, Aphis gossypii Glover , is one of the most important pests on vegetables in Iran, and chemical control is necessary for reducing of the pest damage. A study was conducted to determine the efficacy of new adjuvant as Break -Thru S240 along with insecticide (Dichlorvos EC25%) against this pest at greenhouse conditions in Varamin region, during 2012-2014. The results of the two sampling intervals 3 and 7 days after spraying during 2014 showed that among treatments, Dichlorvos along with Break-Thru S240 had not significant efficacy in controlling the mellon aphids population than Dichlorvos without adjuvant. The study also found that 30% reduction in water consumption rate, could have been negative effects on aphids control. According to the results, in two samples measured at 3 and 7 days after spraying, in which both treatments was applied to 30% reduction in water consumption, mortality was significantly decreased.
