Maximum Residue Limits (MRL) is a refrence for international trad, and is based on analysis of the quantity of a given pesticide remaining on food product samples. According to the item 28 of the plant protection legislation the Iranian Research Institute of Plant Protection (IPPRI) is responsible for the determination of MRLs on the agricultural produces. To achiev this a committee was established for detemination of the national MRLs(NMRLs), taking into consideration various method of determination and the information on the per capita dietary intake of various produces and pesticide usage. This committee determined NMRLs base on Guidance for predicting dietary intake of pesticide residues, food basket and pesticides usage. The aim of the present research is to determine the NMRLs on various pulses. This project is a part of a program which determined 48 NMRLs on the PULSES, and is presented to the Institute of standard and Industrial Research of Iran(ISIRI) for approval.
