Studies on the effect of soil- solarization, manure and their integration on root- knot nematodes in tomato field.

Studies on the effect of soil- solarization, farm yard manure (Fresh 80 tons/ha) and the integration of soil- solarization and farm yard manure on incidence of root- knot nematodes (Meloidogyne Javanica) in tomato field during the hotest period in the months of july and Augest for about eight weeks in three consecutive years in 1999, 2000 and 2001 in Mashhad, khaf and Tabas showed that incidence of root- knot nematodes reduction were up to 78,59, 88, 84, 66, 94, 88, 74 and 94 percent in respective treatments. Crop yields in treated plots were 45.823, 46.906 and 76.156 tons per hectare in comparison with 34.153 T/ha for check. The statistical mean yield difference between treated and untreated plots was significant at the 1% level.
