Eecrs o cultivation and domesication on a number o Thymus species in dierent climatic condition-Khorasan.

An experiment was conducted in order to study the natural habitat o native species o the Thymus genus and the domestication eect in agricultural ecosystems in the province o North Khorasan in rom 2005 to 2009. irst step was to identiy the habitat o species Thymus transcaspicus , recoding the habit characters , collecting seed and setting plot in Asdly region. Seed was planted at the ield research stations o Kohneh kanded. or the comparison, Thymus vulgaris was planted at the same time. The treatments were consisted o dierent harvest stages and species under a randomized complete block design with three replications. Some o the characteristics o thyme and physiological parameters were studied in each species. Results showed no signiicant dierences between two thyme species. In both species, thyme measured quantity properties were inluenced by dierent harvest stages. The maximum essential oils perormance and economic yield were recorded at mid-lowering stage in Th. transcaspicus at third year.
