The level of soil acidity is one of the most important factors, determining general number of microorganisms and structure of microbial communities of the soil. Evaluation of the influence of soil acidity on microbiological activity of the soil possesses ecological importance because of negative changes in microbial communities and irregularities of circulation of biogenic elements and humus formation. Therefore, analysis of the influence of long-term application of organic and mineral fertilizers within different levels of soil acidity on biological activity of luvisol sandy loam soil appears a serious scientific problem. According to the research quantitative changes of microbiological and biochemical status of Luvisol sandy loam soil depend on the level of its acidity. The optimization of soil acidity results in the increase of microbial biomass by 1.8-2 times, raises the number of ammonificators by 2.2-6.2 times and the number of actinomycetes by 2-6 times. When soil acidity is optimal, metabolic activity of microflora as well as activity of microbial oxidases increases.
