The article is concerned with the data on efficacy of the purified tuberculin for mammals infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The compound has proved to be equal to or more effective (by 13 %) than PPD AN5 Biovet Poland, PPD AN5 Argenti-na and PPD "Kursk Manufacture". The animals infected with non mycobacteria have a 33–42% lower reaction to purified tubercu-lin than to tuberculin PPD. The efficacy of the compound established on guinea-pigs and that established during field trials on cows spontaneously infected with tuberculosis are equal (21657 IU/ml и 21367 IU/ml). For more effective use a dose of 5000 ME of tuber-culin (2000 IU/ml) is recommended on all farms (excluding affected herds). The purified tuberculin can be used in a simultaneous test with CAM and PPD for poultry. The compound for mammals produced by BelVitunifarm is useful for revealing animals in-fected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis including the calves
