The influence of inbreeding on seedling viability of true seed generation of the potato | Влияние инбридинга на жизнеспособность сеянцев генеративного поколения картофеля

It have analyzed the seedling viability of true seed generation in six inbreed potato (Solanum tuberosum) generations. Researches were spent in 2001-2011. It was found that the most essential decrease of seedling viability has place in first inbreed generation. The reaction of viability of potato seedling on inbreeding has various characters at different stages of development: 1) viability of true seeds decreases, 2) viability of plants has strongly pronounced nonlinear character and increases in sixth inbreed generation to hybrid level, 3) changes of viability of true seed generation have periodic character with the tendency to decrease. Third inbreed generation is occupied the special place among inbreed generations. It has a mediate maximum of seedling viability of plants, the minimum value of inbreed depression for viability of true seed generation, and the minimum variability of inbreed families. It was found that the separate inbreed families with enough high seedling viability can be distinguished in everyone inbreed generation.
