Reproductive status of sirohi goats under field conditions

Data on reproductive traits of the Sirohi goats were recorded during the years 2002â2008. Abortions and stillbirths were the highest (11.70%) during 2005 and the lowest (4.35%) during 2008. Twining and triplet percentages ranged between 11.76 and 27.15 and from 0 to 1.10, respectively. The overall least squares means for age at first service, age at first kidding, weight at first service and weight at first kidding were 513.70±9.01days, 662.92±9.23 days, 26.25±0.12 kg and 28.63±0.12 kg, respectively.
