To compare three surface irrigation methods, this study was conducted in three years in pistachio orchards of north Ardakan. Treatments included irrigation methods of parallel plots, inter- connected sequential plots and the control (conventional irrigation method). Results showed a water consumption save of about 50- 60 percent in two treatments in comparison with the control. Irrigation water depth was measured to be about 30-35 cm in inter- connected sequential plots and 24-30 cm in parallel plots which was 5- 15 cm higher than the control. Leaching percent was estimated to be between 40 to 60 percent for exponential water uptake model, between 20 to more than 80 percent in trapezoidal model and between less than 5 to 60 percent for 40-30-20-10 model. Leaching percent in parallel plots irrigation method was calculated to be 50-60 percent for exponential water uptake model, 30 to more than 80 percent for trapezoidal water uptake model and from less than 5 to 60 percent in 40-30-20-10 water uptake model. Also for the control leaching percent was calculated about 40-50%, 20-80% and 5-50% in exponential, trapezoidal and 40-30-20-10 water uptake models respectively.
