Objects of the test research were 25 ewes (Transbaikalian fine wool breed, Buryat type) during their lambing and following lactation, as well as their lambs (29 heads). The protein fractions of milk and colostrum in ewes and lambs, and the blood of these animals were under study. Colostrum contains more serum protein than milk in all periods of lactation in ewes. In the first hours of lactation, there are 15.59 ± 1.06 or 77.72% of proteins in colostrum. During lactation, the content of serum protein has been declining, and it is 1.29 ± 0.17 g% in 120 day of lactation. The concentration of casein tends to increase during lactation. Alfalaktoalbumin faction is the main component of serum protein and milk throughout the lactation periodically prevails over the other factions. Betalaktoglobulin fraction undergoes significant changes. The minimum level is marked on the 15th day of lactation. It is 0.14 ± 0.02 g%, and it increases to 0.44 ± 0.07 g% by the end of the study. There is large number of immunoglobulin. It is 9.67 ± 0.31 g% or more than 48% of the total serum protein of the first milking. By the beginning of the milk, there is a stabilization period of protein picture in ewes' mammary secretion. Before the first milking, serum protein is represented by three factions (no gamma globulin). Concentration of gammaglobulins reaches a value significantly higher than the level of this protein in adult ewes in serum. After 4 months of life, it observed a continuous increase of the level of total protein, due to the steady increase in the concentration of serum fractions of gammaglobulins up to level typical for adult sheeps.
