Estimation of radiological-ecological situation on floodplain meadows of the rivers Dnieper and Sozh on the territory of Mogilev region

Английский. On the territory of Mogilev region as a result of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster, vast floodplain meadows of the rivers Dnieper and Sozh were contaminated with 137Cs. In the valley of the Dnieper, the density of soil contamination usually does not exceed 370.0 kBq/square m, in the valley of the Sozh - ranges from 37.0 to 1480.0 kBq/square m and above. Even with low density of radioactive contamination, floodplain meadows become sources of feeds with a high content of radionuclides. The results of radiological examination of floodplain meadows of the Dnieper on the territory of Bykhov district and the Sozh on the territory of Slavgorod and Cherikov districts in the period long after the accident were presented. It was shown forecast of pollution of green mass by 137Cs in different parts of floodplain meadows and the actual concentration of 137Cs in grasses, soil surface characteristics and 137Cs soil contamination levels at different relief elements, the influence of soil conditions on the transition of radionuclides into plants. It was noted that on water-logged peat swamp and sandy soils with a very low content of exchangeable potassium, there is still green mass with the content of 137Cs above the permissible level (165 Bq/kg), even with a relatively low density of radioactive contamination of soils.

Русский. На территории Могилевской области в результате аварии на Чернобыльской АЭС обширные пойменные луга рек Днепр и Сож загрязнены 137Cs. В долине р. Днепр плотность загрязнения почв в основном не превышает 370.0 кБк/м квадратный, в долине р. Сож - колеблется от 37.0 до 1480.0 кБк/ м квадратный и выше. Даже при невысокой плотности радиоактивного загрязнения пойменные луга становятся источником получения кормов с повышенным содержанием радионуклидов. Представлены результаты радиоэкологического обследования пойменных лугов реки Днепр на территории Быховского района и р. Сож на территории Славгородского и Чериковского районов в отдаленный после аварии период. Показаны прогноз загрязнения 137Cs зеленой массы на разных участках пойменных лугов и фактическое содержание 137Cs в травостое, характеристика почвенного покрова и уровни загрязнения почв 137Cs на разных элементах рельефа, влияние условий почвенной среды на переход радионуклидов в растения. Отмечено, что на переувлажненных торфяно-болотных и песчаных почвах с очень низким содержанием обменного калия до настоящего времени регистрируется зеленая масса с содержанием 137Cs выше допустимого уровня (165 Бк/кг) даже при относительно невысокой плотности радиоактивного загрязнения почв.
