Initial growth of plants of variety samples of different species of pumpkin in seedling period

In a course of the research there were studied different species of pumpkin (Cucurbita) in seedling period according to the following indicators: size, number and area of leaves, plant height, dry weight of leaves, stem and root system. The research was realized in 2011–2013 in Close Joint-Stock Company ‘Teplichnoe’ in Moscow region (Russian Federation). As a result of realized research there was revealed that different species of pumpkin in seedling period differ morphologically, according to biometric parameters and dry weight of one plant. The study of indicators in the seedling period will allow for selection in the early stages according to the activity of plant growth and development, which is important in the selection process.

Представлены результаты исследований оценки различных видов тыквы в рассадный период по признакам: размер, количество и площадь листьев, высота растений, сухая масса листьев, стебля и корневой системы. Выявлено, что различные виды тыквы в рассадный период отличаются по морфологическим признакам, биометрическим параметрам и сухой массе одного растения. Изучение признаков в рассадный период позволит проводить отбор на ранней стадии по активности роста и развития растений, что является важным в селекционном процессе.
