In Phu Tho province, bird flu disease has detected since 2003. The prevalence of this disease is complicated. Although comprehensive measures which was instructed, by government have done, the prevention of this disease is very difficulty. Recently, the results of epidemic characteristics in Phu Tho province has indicated that the incidence of bird flu disease at 65.16%, is the highest in the spring while this disease at 2.06% in autumn. The infectious proportion depend on different poultry, the rate of infection in chickens is the highest (81.40%), followed by that in ducks with 15.70% and the percentages of others is 2.60%. The results of research also illustrated that the incidence of freedom grazing 84%, is 8.4 times as high as that of semi-intensive rearing. Meanwhile, the proportion of infection is only 6% in intensive rearing. Herd dimension is changed, leading to the changes in the infectious rate. The incidence is inversely promotional to herd dimension. The infectious proportion is the highest in herd whose size is under 200 host at 75.03%. Whereas in contrast, the lowest infectious ratio is 10.49% in herd which is over 500 host
