To contribute to the Achievement of higher levels ofsustainability assuring the conservation of the available natural resources, constitutes the primacies of the present work, and its objective is to evaluate the impact that causes on forest places, the employment of the technologies of animal traction during the extraction or wooden use in San Andrés area, belonging to the Forest and Integral Company La Palma. In the study the characterization of the explotationparameters of the oxen that are used traditionally in the study area is included, as wellas the valuation of its potentialities and the effect that causes on the floors, demonstrating the importance of a correct handling for the achievement of better levels of efficiency that is translated so much in the reduction of losses of time and optimizationboth from energetic point of view that is shown and conservation of the natural resources to contribute to the sustainable rural development of the mountainous environment of Pinegrove of Pinar del Rio.

Contribuir al l ogro de niveles superiores de so stenibilidad , asegurando la conservación de los recursos naturales disponibles, constituye la primicia d el presente trabajo, que se plantea como objetivo evaluar el impacto que provoca sobre s itios forestales, el empleo de las tecnologías de tracció n animal durante la extracción y aprovechamiento de madera en la zo na de San Andrés, perteneciente a la Empresa Forestal e Integral La Palma . En el e studio se incluye la caracterización de parámetros de explotación de los bueyes que se emplean tradicionalmente en la zona de estudio , así como la valoración de sus potencialidades y el efecto que provocan sobre los suelos, donde se demuestra la importancia de un correcto manejo para el logro de mejores niveles de eficiencia , que se traduce en la reducción de p érdidas de tiempo y optimización, tanto , desde el punto de vista energético , como de conservación de los recursos naturales en virtud de contribuir al desarrollo rural sostenible del entorno montañoso de Pinar del Río.
