Influence of Variety and Biopreparations on Molasses Components, Refined Sugar Content and Refined Sugar Yield of Sugar Beet

The field polyfactor experiment with sugar beet was realized in the years 2011, 2012, 2013 at EXBA SUA in Nitra - Dolna Malanta. In the experiment we investigated the influence of 4 sugar beet varieties (Antek, Fred, Tilman and Jambus), 2 biopreparations (Biafit Gold and Ligno Super NPK) and weather conditions of the years on the molasses components (MC) (K+, Na+, alpha -aminoN), refined sugar content (RSC) and refined sugar yield (RSY). From the results we found that the influence of the variety on all the monitored parameters was statistically highly significant. The best results of the monitored parameters were achieved with Fred a Tilman varieties. On the contrary, Antek and Jambus varieties had higher content of molasses components in the root and lower values of RSC and RSY. Compared to the control, the biopreparations influence on the content of MC and RSC was statistically highly significant but negative; the influence on RSY was not proven statistically. The influence of weather conditions on all the monitored parameters (MC, RSC, RSY) was highly significant. The best values of MC, RSC and RSY were observed in 2011 while in 2013 the values were significantly worse (MC) or significantly lower (RSC, RSY).
