A newly recorded species, Schoenoplectiella ×uzenensis (Ohwi ex T. Koyama) Hayasaka, was found in Chosan Lake, Gosu-myeon, Gochang-gun, Jeollabuk-do, Korea. Schoenoplectiella ×uzenensis differs from its related species in having short rhizomes and 1 to 3 spikelets showing inflorescence. Schoenoplectiella triangulata has very short rhizomes and 520 spikelets with inflorescence. Schoenoplectiella lineolata has long creeping rhizomes and 1 spikelet showing inflorescence. We propose the new Korean name of ‘Go-Chang-Go- Rang-Ei’ based on its initial collection site. A description, line drawing, color photographs, table, and a species key of Korean Schoenoplectiella are provided for species identification.
