Export of agricultural industrial products is an important basis for the increase of primary agricultural production and development of food industry. The aim of the research is to analyse movements in the export of agricultural industrial products from the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina by countries of destination and product types. AP Vojvodina is analysed in this study because it represents a significant producer of agricultural and foodstuffs within the Republic of Serbia. There has been a significant increase in export from AP Vojvodina so that in 2014 it reached $ 1.5 billion, more than half of the total export of the Republic of Serbia. This export is mainly aimed at the European Union (54%), followed by CEFTA countries (36%) and the Russian Federation (7%). The export’s structure is dominated by maize (25%), followed by sugar (9%), edible sunflower oil (6%) and wheat (5%). Apart from working on the growth of primary production, a country also needs to adapt the range of products to the requirements of individual market segments to succeed in increasing its export. In order to boost competitiveness it is necessary to improve the quality of exported products, conduct appropriate marketing activities to create brands so as to gain the trust of foreign customers. High quality products and competitive prices are needed to build a recognisable brand of food produced in AP Vojvodina.
