The studies were conducted in 2014-2017 in different types of agrarian ecosystems and their ecotones. A total of 1166 small mammals were caught, 11 species of rodents and 3 species of insectivores were recorded. The values of the trappability index for small mammals varied from 20 to 45% depending on the year, season and climatic conditions. In the first half of 2014-2017 the greatest diversity was found in gardens, the ecotone of wet biotope-agrocenosis and of rural ecosystems. In the second semester the greatest diversity was recorded in the area of ecotones: forest belt-agrocenosis and wet biotope -agrozenosis. In most ecosystems, species of the genus Apodemus were dominant and abundant and A. sylvaticus is the most common and eurytopic. A. agrarius had a great abundance and dominance in most ecosystems in the second half of the vegetation season. The common hamster (Cricetus cricetus) and the harvest mouse (Micromys minutus), vulnerable species, included in the Red Book of Moldova, have been recorded. Shrews have an accessory ecological significance in forest belts and ecotones with wet habitats.
