The box tree moth represents alien invasive species of high ecological and economical risks. Multivoltinism, eco plasticity and monophagy can lead to the completely disappearance of box tree in Europe. The aim of this research was to identify potential alternative host between 13 chooosen plant species, in the laboratory. Results indicate that the box tree represents the most preferent ovipositional host. Oviposition is registered on walnut and aronia leaves. Alternative feeding hosts, edible and cereal peas, as well as green bean pod were identified. This result represents first data in Europe about alternative host plant for box tree moth.
